Robot Baby Army Searches Wasteland for Happiness
Here is a surrealist composition I created from two historic digital scans I got from a free domain site.
Step 1: Original Scans
Step 2: Colorization of the figures on original scans.
Step 3: Masking figures into wasteland background.
Step 4: Adding more elements to the piece, eye/moon in sky, and buildings.
Step 5:
Adjusted shadows
Added elements
Multiplied Babies
Moved arm
Added boots to woman
Step 6: Resize signs, removed mountain, adjust van and add shadow.
Step 7: Final adjustment to van angle, added filter over signs and whole composition.
As a whole creating this composition was complex and difficult but very fun learning how to navigate photoshop to create an original piece.
